| So I joined the National Novel Writing Month. The idea is to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of Nov. Which I don't think I'll actually reach, but it's good motivation to work on the parody/satire thing whatever it is that I started about my friends back during my Calvary days. I was reading bits of it to get ideas for my continuation and remembered that I actually really like it. It was a lot of fun, and it's good memories, you know? So anyway, we'll see how far I get on my continuation. I'll certainly let whoever is interested and still reading this occasionally know how I do.

| Yesterday when I was making tortillas mine kept puffing up on the grill. The lady who was teaching us said that meant I was going to get married. I laughed. Last night I dreamed I got engaged! Oiy. And in my dream I made sure to set the wedding date for the end of May so that my relatives here could come (my aunt having made a comment earlier this week to that effect). Wierd, wierd and more wierd. And no, I have no actual plans to get married any time soon. I'm really praying it doesn't rain this afternoon! We are supposed to go to the ruins today, and this is my last chance before I leave. Here's hoping. I need to start packing this morning. I have one more load of laundry I want to wash. My cousin is sending home a bunch of doll dresses with me so that I can mail them to a lady in the states who is trying to sell them for her. So I need to figure out how to fit things in my suitcase. My aunt is making orange coconut rolls. I think we will practice swing dancing some more this morning before I leave. I really don't have much else to say. Not really all awake yet I suppose. Hmmm... | | |
